For those who do not know, this is a portrait of the faun from Pan's Labyrinth.
I went to see this film at the weekend and it is the best film I have seen in a long, long time.
I started drawing this before the films came out, I found the picture in a magazine and thought it would fun to draw.
Apologies for the scanner quality, it sometimes makes the picture grainy or washed out. And casts an ugly shadow.
*shakes fist at scanner*
Oh, I like this one!
And yes, The Best movie ever!

Oh, my.... GORGEOUS. Absolutely gorgeous. The shading and style have me bewildered and awed! I have yet to see Pan's Labyrinth, but I cannot wait, and waiting it driving me nuts. Fantastic work! Have you considered entering it in the sketchbook contest on the official website?

Thank you so much for the wonderful comment!
I saw the film when it came out here before Christmas, and already I think it is down as one of my fav films
I never knew there was a contest, I'll have to check that out, thank you for telling me!
In the contest, you can upload up to ten drawings related to the film; they should be able to possibly help market the film. Guillermo will pick five winners. Honestly, with more work of this quality, you'd have a strong chance of being in the top five, in my eyes!

With watching eyes
You see dreams dissolving
Distant voices slipping away

The call of something deeper
A voice inside of me
